cafe mint

Amongst the noise and promises of truly different food in Surry Hills, this little morrocan gem stands out amongst the pack.

There is nothing worse than a menu with restrictive choices and thankfully, Mint comes to the table with a variety of menu options, ranging from morrocan/middle eastern style tapas dishes in addition to more substantial breakfast, lunch and dinner options - sure to satisfy the most indecisive of diners.

Standouts: My boyfriend can't visit this place without ordering the Lamb Mince, deliciously spiced with cumin, coriander and a healthy dose of garlic, served on a bed of creamy humous and topped with spanish onions infused with pomegranate. Accompanied by crisp and deliciously buttery Turkish style toast, this breakfast item is a winner.

Also on the breakfast menu worth trying is the Scrambled Eggs with Fetta and Mint. Tip: order a side of grilled Haloumi, generously squeeze with lemon juice and you have yourself one of the best breakfast menu items this side of the Souk.

Unfortunately this cafe is really a cafe..not generous on the seating, you may find yourself waiting for a table at times but it is most definitely worth it.
